Description
'We Go Together' features a stylish pair of pīwakawaka/fantail perched amongst an array of native flora.
Pīwakawaka are small, friendly birds native to Aotearoa/New Zealand. You'll often hear them before you see them — making their loud 'cheeet, cheeet!' call as they swoop and flit like little acrobats, hunting for insects. Those beautiful fanned tail feathers take up more than half the length of their body, helping them twist and turn with remarkable speed in flight.
Pīwakawaka hold a very special place in the hearts of many people in Aotearoa, known for their way of 'showing up' unannounced at meaningful moments in a person's life.
