'Come Fly With Me' features a dancing pair of pīwakawaka/fantail carrying banners of mānuka, swooping and spreading their beautiful wings and tail feathers, rejoicing in the bountiful supply of food.

Believe it or not, pīwakawaka/fantail birds are one of Aotearoa/New Zealand's fierce hunters! Those beautiful long tail feathers aren't just for looks — they help them twist and turn with remarkable speed during flight. Their favourites? Moths, flies, spiders, wasps, beetles, and the occasional fruit. We are so lucky in Aotearoa/New Zealand to have such a friendly, joyful little bird hanging around. If you'd like to give these little cuties a helping hand, keep a close eye on your furry feline friends — and a big hi-5 if you can set a rat trap or two!
