    Frequently Asked Questions

How do I know what diopter strength I need?

Diopter strength reflects how much magnification you need — it typically increases with age and how much your near vision has changed. If you're not sure, start with a lower strength (like +1.0 or +1.5) and size up if text still isn't sharp, or check with your optometrist for your exact prescription.

Can I wear these if I don't currently wear reading glasses?

These are designed for presbyopia — the natural, age-related change in near vision most people experience from their 40s onward. If you're finding it harder to read small text up close, a low-strength pair (0 to +1.5) is a great place to start.

    Are these prescription glasses?

These are ready-made reading glasses (also called "readers"), not custom prescription lenses. They magnify evenly across both eyes at the strength printed on the frame, which works well for most people with straightforward presbyopia, but won't replace a full eye exam if you have astigmatism or need different strengths in each eye.

What's the difference in shape between the different styles?

Each named style (6am, 7am, 9am, 10am, 11am, 12pm and so on) is a distinct frame shape — from bold, statement-sized frames to round shapes with sleek fine temples — so you can pick the silhouette that suits your face, then choose your favourite colourway within it.

Do the blue light lenses actually block screen light?

Our blue light lenses are designed to filter out a portion of the high-energy visible (HEV) blue light emitted by screens, which can contribute to eye strain, headaches and blurry vision after long periods in front of a computer or phone.

How do I clean and care for my glasses?

Rinse with lukewarm water and a small amount of mild soap, then dry with a soft microfibre cloth — avoid paper towels or clothing, which can scratch the lenses. Store them in a case when not in use to protect the frame and lenses.
